It was the 'funky-day' eve in our college. My classmates were busy making plans for the next day; questions like what to wear and how to look the funkiest. It was going to be a fun day I knew but also a brilliant platform to impress my crush – the guy who sat on the second bench of the first row.
I was apprehensive about the preparations. I wanted to look the funkiest. While thinking about all this I overheard someone say the word 'tattoo'. Well, tattoo! It was a fabulous idea indeed. But how do I get one? I sure did want to look cool but not at the cost of my skin. I wanted to dedicate my skin for a design close to my heart and wanted to get it done by an experienced artist. I had to convince mom too after all! And I didn't want something that I had to hide afterwards. I wanted no regrets. And that's why I just wanted the best.
My best friend knew exactly what was on my mind and suggested the name Chopper-tatto.com. She told me about the basic membership which costs $19.95. Not a hefty amount, considering the life-time award of flaunting a tattoo that I would be getting.
I was amazed to see the designs on this site. They were really cool and funky! Moreover, searching through the filters was fun. You can search by style or size, black and white or color designs.
I and my gang of girls selected our respective show-offs out of the thousands of designs on the site. There is conventional, tribal, Chinese, Japanese and many more artworks. With the designs neatly divided into different categories, it's quite easy to search your favourite design.
I went for the custom lettering feature. This feature allows you to play with letters, fonts and style, all in your own way! What better way to say 'I Love You' than through a tattoo?
The next big question was about the artist. Where to find one? Not a hassle. My friend seemed to be a great fan of the site. She knew it all! She told me that the site provides with the contacts of the artists located at our neighborhoods. While browsing through the artists' database, I came across the name of one of my old buddies. He had his own webpage on the site and I could also find some of his sample works.
Finally I got my tattoo done. And guess what? It was worth all the pain. I got the 'funkiest babe' title and the very next day I was with my crush over a coffee, discussing about how I got it done. Chopper-tattoo rocks and so do I!
